It Only Appears...

That I've fallen off the face of the earth. Dave and I married a few weeks ago and the weeks leading up to the celebration were quite busy. We had a glorious ceremony, more wonderful than I could have dreamed, a sunny and adventurous honeymoon, and now we are settling into married life (home organization--ugh! not my strength!). CLICK HERE AND YOU CAN SEE A FEW PHOTOS!

Thanks to everyone who's written to say 'hi' and to check in on me. Have a great week!

Sincerity,

Thanks! It was a glorious celebration. The cake was really delicious--it had white chocolate mouse and strawberry layers! We also had a buffet and it was all very yummy too! The honeymoon--the Caribbean ocean, exploring the rain forest, it was all so wonderful! Nothing like sunrise and sunset walks on the beach--we did that each day! I miss the ocean!

I'm back with two poems. One long. One short.

Each morning...greet the dawn with joy.
Send each other out into the world with a kiss and a smile.
Each day...nurture one another's talents and individuality.
Each night...talk of the big and little things that made up your day.
Each year...be one another's truest friend so that your joys may be doubled.
Celebrate your achievements, for theya re mileposts on your journey together.
Above all, remember to honor and nourish the beautiful love that first connected you, to one another.

Now for the short poem:

From this day forward,
You shall not walk alone.
My heart will be your shelter,
and my arms will be your home.

Again congrats!!!!!
Beautiful photos!

I know your not that old, but this is my favorite poem on the subject for old people like me ;-)

At Last

At last, when all the summer shine
That warmed life's early hours is past,Your loving fingers seek for mineAnd hold them close at last at last!

Not oft the robin comes to build
Its nest upon the leafless bough
By autumn robbed, by winter chilled,But you, dear heart, you love me now.

Though there are shadows on my brow
And furrows on my cheek, in truth,
The marks where Time's remorseless plough

Broke up the blooming sward of Youth,Though fled is every girlish grace Might win or hold a lover's vow, Despite my sad and faded face,
And darkened heart, you love me now!

I count no more my wasted tears;
They left no echo of their fall;
I mourn no more my lonesome years;
This blessed hour atones for all.
I fear not all that Time or Fate
May bring to burden heart or brow,Strong in the love that came so late, Our souls shall keep it always now!
