Christmas Traditions

For me, Christmas is about celebrating the birth, life, ministry, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ. What do you give "the guy who has everything, not to mention created everything?!" We serve Him by serving others. So I ask God each season to show me WHO needs a little Jesus. Sometimes I give an anonymous gift to someone in need (financially). Sometimes it's a card to someone hurting. Sometimes it's my time to someone who needs someone to care. Sometimes it's a smile or open door for someone at the mall. When we ask God to show us who needs Him, you'll begin to see all kinds of hurting or struggling hearts behind the smiles all around you. I find great joy and intimacy with God by being a vessel to allow Jesus to love others through me.

How about you? What are the Christmas traditions you enjoy to celebrate Jesus?

Hello! Thank you for visiting my blog. I will check yours out! Yes, God is good, all the time. What would we do without Him?

I am trying to get in the "Christmas Mood" - one thing we do as a family is get away to a cabin in the mountains to spend time together. Without the TV, Phone, Internet, & other distractions. With a new member in our family, this is getting to be a very important part of the holiday.

One thing I like to do to get in the Christmas spirit is to play Christmas music, relax with a fire in the fireplace, and light my candles around the house. Some snow would definitely get me in the mood but we don't get much here!

Happy Holidays!

I just want people to know He loves them and He is here.
Music helps me remember the celebration of this time of year. That and doing for others. It is so important to remind people of the time of year and the reason for the season.
Thanks for stopping in for a visit.

Thank you for your encouraging words. Saw pics from my beautiful homestate CO. Lovely. I am now establishing Christmas tradition and melding both my German husbands culture and my American. Advents Calendar, Christmas tree and hanging out with family.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and commenting! I got excited when I read what you wrote in this post, I love to celebrate the real reason for Christmas and share with others. And since a lot of unbelievers celebrate Christmas I feel it's an open door to share Jesus.
