Colorado 2007
Hiking along Trout Haven, Divide, Colorado.
Last year...I saw black bears lumbering down the mountain where we camped. This year, wildlife sightings include: mother deer and fawn; chipmunk, muskrat, trout, a LabPoodle (designer dog), llamas, grasshoppers, and beagles (Maggie and ShoeShine-the Underdog! upon return home).
One of my fondest observations is the wind rushing thru the Aspen trees; it sounds like rushing water and is extremely relaxing!
Sometimes the inspiration to be a Tourist Dork just strikes!
The Crystal Reservoir with Pikes Peak as a majestic backdrop!
Enjoying the beauty!
Forget 'sea level' at times, we were driving at 'cloud level.'
Enroute...the drive to Pikes Peak Summit was 19 miles and took 1 hour to drive due to steep incline and continuous sharp curves!
At the top of Pikes Peak; elevation 14,411 ft above sea level and 50% of oxygen!
Scaling the Summit at Pikes Peak (for fun!).
Dwarfed by the wonders of creation!
Pikes Peak...the inspiration for America The Beautiful...

Great pictures, I really like that big foot sign, thanks for taking and posting that one for me.
I have a fear of heights too and some of those pictures are a little scary.
Those pictures are amazing. The "cloud level" made me actually dizzy.
I used to live in Colorado and I have never seen anyplace so clear and beautiful. Your pictures are wonderful.
