Words
"Sticks and stones will break my bones but words will never harm me."
That's a saying we learn as children to toughen us up to handle the taunts of other children. When we're young, words sting and hurt. When we're adults, words sting and hurt. Words are powerful, they can build us up with encouragement, or crush our spirit. I think Proverbs 12:18 sums it up best,
"Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing."

Your right words hurt back then and still can. I wish I could learn to think before I speak.
This is the one I remember most.
Sticks and stone can break my bones when aimed with angry art. Words can sting like anything. But silence breaks the heart.
